Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, said:
Our North Carolina Customers tell us they’ve loved flying Avelo since we took flight in North Carolina two years ago. Our 27 nonstop destinations are just the beginning. Establishing bases in Charlotte and Wilmington, as well as our international expansion at our RDU base, enables us to bring even more affordable, convenient and industry-leading reliability to more destinations. This means even more choice for travelers from across North Carolina while making it even easier for more people to visit the state from elsewhere across the East Coast. We appreciate the warm reception Avelo has received and are grateful to our Customers who have entrusted Avelo with their air travel in North Carolina.”
Anthony’s Take: I flew on the inaugural flight from Central Florida’s Lakeland International Airport (LAL) (review here) and enjoyed the experience, overall. It’s great to see Avelo Airlines continuing to grow and add international destinations.

You know what flights I’m taking on April 3rd and 4th… Already booked.
Basing 2 planes at USA. I think this is the right time to give it a go given CLT is being depicted in a very bad light in local media, social media, etc, as a mess to use.
Wow! You hit more inaugural flights than anyone I know.
I try to support service like this. By the way, Central Florida Visitors/Polk County has put up a Lakeland billboard right on I-85 by the Concord airport.
