Avelo Airlines launched in 2021 and operates a fleet of modern Boeing 737 aircraft. It serves destinations across the United States and competes with Spirit Airways, Breeze Airways, Allegiant Air, Frontier Airlines, and Sun Country Airlines. Avelo recently celebrated its third birthday and has been aggressively tweaking the route network, adding new destinations, cutting some, and it opened a sixth aircraft base in June. This week, the airline announced two new destinations: Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Ontario International Airport (ONT).

Beginning in October, Avelo will fly Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport (STS) to/from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Ontario International Airport (ONT). Flights will run 2x weekly (on Thursdays and Sundays) with a Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, said:

We are excited to continue growth at our Bay Area base at STS with the addition of two new routes to Ontario and Salt Lake City. As we add more destinations in Sonoma County, we are committed to bringing more convenient, reliable and affordable travel options to the region.”

Anthony’s Take: Avelo continues to add to its route network. With this latest addition, the airline will offer service to two new destinations.
