Avelo Airlines has added 13 new routes and three new cities to its route map. With these additions, Avelo will fly to 56 US cities across 23 states, Puerto Rico, and four international destinations. The newest destinations include Grand Rapids’ Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR), Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP), and Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS).

Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA)

Avelo currently offers 11 nonstop destinations from Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA). The airline is adding three more routes, including:

Lakeland International Airport (LAL)

Central Florida’s Lakeland International Airport (LAL) currently serves nine nonstop destinations (I took the first flight out of the airport back in June 2024). Avelo is now adding two more routes, including:

  • Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) (2x weekly on Mondays and Fridays; starts on May 23rd)

Wilmington International Airport (ILM)

Wilmington International Airport (ILM) currently has 15 nonstop destinations. Avelo is planning to add the following four new routes:

  • Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) (2x weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays; starts on June 12th)
  • Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) (2x weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays; starts on June 11th)
  • Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) (2x weekly on Thursdays and Sundays; starts on June 12th)
  • Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) (2x weekly on Mondays and Fridays; starts on June 13th)

Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, said:

We continue to Inspire Travel by growing our network at our newest bases. We’re adding three new destinations, including our fourth international location – Nassau, Bahamas. These 13 new routes offer our Customers even more choices, making it easier and more affordable than ever for our Customers to get where they want to go.”

Since it began operations in April 2021, Avelo has flown more than 6.3 million passengers on over 50,000 flights.

Anthony’s Take: Avelo continues to expand and it’s great to see it adding new cities to the map. I enjoyed the Avelo experience (go in knowing that there are no amenities) and love that it connects cities that don’t otherwise have nonstop service.
