I’ve written many times about Amex Offers and how much money you can save by redeeming them. Amex offers are one of my favorite things about holding multiple American Express cards. I have saved thousands of dollars on clothing, dining, hotels, airfare, and more. These can be found on any American Express card simply by navigating to the offers section on the site or app.

I don’t normally use The Platinum® Card from American Express for hotel stays (other than those booked in the Fine Hotels & Resorts program), but this offer just popped up again and I might take advantage of it if I can find a property that works.

Spend $1,200, Get $300 Back

Earn a one-time $300 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $1,200 USD in one or more purchases on property rate and charges incurred at time of reservation at participating Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy® properties from 9/18/2024 to 12/17/2024.

Terms & Conditions:

• Enrollment is limited. Eligible Card Members must first add offer to Card and then use same Card for qualifying spend. Only US-issued American Express® Cards are eligible.
• Limit of 1 statement credit per eligible Card Member account. If the Card Account is canceled or past due, it may not qualify to receive a statement credit.
• Offer valid at participating Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy® properties in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
• Reservations for Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy® properties must be made online at homesandvillasbymarriott.com.
• Excludes all other Marriott brands.
• Not valid on gift card purchases, online retail purchases, hotel amenities or purchases of Marriott Bonvoy® points.

• Qualifying purchase means a purchase at a participating Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy® property made during the offer period with your enrolled American Express Card and which is in an amount totaling at least $1,200 USD as posted to your account, following conversion from a foreign currency, if applicable, in accordance with your Cardmember Agreement.
• Offer not valid for stays that are paid for before the promotion start date or after the promotion end date (for example, if the final payment that occurs 30 days before your stay falls outside of the promotion dates, it will not count towards qualification).
• Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant.
• Offer not valid on purchases made using third parties, such as resellers, delivery services, or other intermediaries.
• Please allow 90-days after 12/17/2024 for the statement credit(s) to be posted to the Account, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.

Anthony’s Take: I am generally not a fan of vacation home rentals like Airbnb or VRBO. If you find something that meets the offer criteria and works for you, this is a good way to save 25% on a $1,000 purchase.

Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: I love many of the benefits of the The Platinum Card® from American Express. I particularly like that it grants me access to many lounges. It has had a prominent place in my wallet for many years now. While it does have an annual fee of $695, it provides many travel benefits and will always be my go-to for lounge access (both Delta Sky Clubs® and Centurion Lounges) and booking airfare from the airlines to earn 5x points (up to $500,000 per calendar year).
