Passengers flying on select flights with American Airlines now have a new way to upgrade their inflight meals thanks to a partnership with Smash Kitchen. The fast-growing food brand is known for its clean ingredients and bold flavors. The collaboration introduces Smash Kitchen’s premium condiments to travelers ordering one of the airline’s most popular onboard meals and gives customers a flavorful addition to their inflight dining experience.

Smash Kitchen was co-founded in 2025 by Texas native and award-winning actor Glen Powell. The brand quickly built a following for its organic condiments and cooking oils made with simple ingredients designed to deliver strong flavor without unnecessary additives. Powell’s energetic personality and Texas roots helped propel the brand’s popularity, making the partnership with American Airlines (headquartered in Texas) a natural match.

Passengers ordering American’s Classic American Sliders and Fries (review here) will now receive Smash Kitchen’s condiments to complement the meal. The condiments are designed to provide a rich, flavorful pairing while maintaining the brand’s focus on real ingredients. The offering is available to domestic First Class customers who preorder their meal through American’s website or mobile app. The seasonal sandwich featuring the sliders can also be purchased by travelers flying in the Main Cabin.

The Smash Kitchen partnership is part of American Airlines’ broader effort to enhance the quality of its onboard dining program. Recent additions include barbecue from Pecan Lodge on select routes, Champagne from Champagne Bollinger served on Flagship® international flights, and upcoming coffee service featuring Lavazza beginning this spring.

American’s SVP of Customer Experience and Design Strategy Rhonda Crawford, said:

Smash Kitchen brings an energy and flavor profile that aligns perfectly with American’s commitment to offering customers a more premium, more memorable inflight experience. We’re excited to introduce these sauces on board and continue growing partnerships that reflect our dedication to great food at every stop of the traveler’s journey.”

Anthony’s Take: Together, these collaborations are steps forward in American Airlines’ focus on becoming a more premium airline. I welcome the changes and have an upcoming flight where I will get to try the new condiments alongside the sliders.
