American Airlines runs a massive hub at Miami International Airport (MIA). In addition to Miami, American currently serves 11 other airports in Florida. It will soon add another destination when flights to/from Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB) begin in February 2026.

The new route will run to/from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) daily using Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft with 12 First Class, 12 Main Cabin Extra, and 52 Main Cabin seats. Breeze Airways and JetBlue also currently fly to/from Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB). In addition to this new city, American currently flies to these Florida destinations:

  • Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB)
  • Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)
  • Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW)
  • Fort Walton Beach’ Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (VPS)
  • Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV)
  • Jacksonville International Airport (JAX)
  • Key West International Airport (EYW)
  • Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB)
  • Miami International Airport (MIA)
  • Orlando International Airport (MCO)
  • Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)
  • Tampa International Airport (TPA)

Anthony’s Take: American continues to offer tons of US cities and it serves the most airports in the Sunshine State.
