Atmos Rewards members will have more ways to earn elite status in 2026 as the loyalty program broadens its earning categories and perks well beyond air travel. Atmos Rewards is evolving into a lifestyle-driven platform that recognizes not only time spent in the air, but also shopping, dining, booking hotels, renting cars, and more. Like American and Delta, the overarching message: status is now something members can build through daily life and not just frequent flying.

Status Still Earned Annually, Enjoyed Longer
The program continues to operate status qualification on a calendar-year basis (with elite benefits valid through January 31st of the following year). Members can begin unlocking perks at just 10,000 status points. This includes free pre-order meals and bonus points to trying Atmos Silver benefits on a single trip.
At 20,000 status points and beyond, members reach Atmos Silver status and receive complimentary First Class and Premium Class upgrades (when available), higher points bonuses, complimentary preferred seating, and at least one free checked bag. Higher tiers add even more benefits, including additional baggage allowances, faster bag handling, and priority on upgrade waitlists, with further enhancements expected to roll out later in 2026.

Status Points for Everyday Life, Not Just Flights
Atmos Rewards is now offering more non-air earning opportunities, which is a major shift in how elites qualify. Members can earn status points through:
- Shopping and dining
- Hotel stays
- Rideshare bookings
- Co-branded credit card spending
- SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) contributions
- Travel partners and more
Unlike redeemable points, status points are dedicated for elite qualification and unlocking benefits rather than award travel.
Expanded Hotel Partnerships and VIP Perks
One of the biggest lifestyle enhancements lands in the hotel space. Status members now gain access to discounts and in-stay perks at over 10,000 properties via Alaska Vacations and Hawaiian Vacations (powered by Expedia). Benefits include room upgrades, complimentary breakfast, and other VIP touches tied to elite tiers.
More Customization and Communities Ahead
The program previewed more changes coming later this year, including:
- Flexible earning choices for flight activity
- Atmos Communities: these allow members to select interest-based groups and receive exclusive perks, offers, and content
A Loyalty Program for How Travelers Actually Travel
The 2026 refresh marks a clear attempt to broaden what airline loyalty means and to reward members for staying engaged beyond airports. For many travelers (especially those who don’t fly frequently enough to chase status the traditional way) the expanded ecosystem could offer a more attainable pathway to elite benefits.
Anthony’s Take: With new partnerships, more flexible earning, and elevated perks across travel and lifestyle brands, Atmos Rewards is setting itself up for a year of growth and a stronger play for customer loyalty across the broader travel experience.
