Alaska Airlines now partners with 32 airlines between those you can earn miles and those you book award seats on. This includes all of the oneworld airlines and other big carriers like Condor, Korean Air, and Singapore as well as smaller, regional carriers like Bahamasair and Cape Air. Its latest partner is an airline I had never heard of before and you likely aren’t too familiar with it either.
Alaska announced yesterday that Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan™ members can earn miles when traveling on Aleutian Airways with flights booked directly on AlaskaAir.com. Aleutian Airways began in 2022 and connects Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) with Cold Bay Airport (CDB), Tom Madsen (Dutch Harbor) Unalaska Airport (DUT), King Salmon Airport (AKN), and Sand Point Airport (SDP) using a fleet of Saab 2000 aircraft.
Marilyn Romano, Alaska Airlines Regional Vice President – Alaska, said:
Partnering with Aleutian Airways is a great way for Alaskans to have more options when flying, including connecting more of Alaska to our extensive out of state network. The ability for Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members to now be able to book travel on Aleutian Airways through AlaskaAir.com and earn Alaska Airlines miles is an added benefit.”
Anthony’s Take: Alaska has an impressive roster of partner airlines. This one will have limited appeal for most travelers, but if you’re headed to any of these Alaskan destinations you’ll now be able to earn miles with Alaska Airlines.
