Alaska Airlines is raising the bar (no pun intended) for its most loyal cardholders with the debut of the Summit Sunset (a signature cocktail created exclusively for Atmos Rewards Summit Card members). This launch marks the start of a new elevated bar program, which is now available at all three Alaska Lounges at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and set to expand systemwide in October 2025.

The program is part of the premium benefits offered to Summit Cardholders, who receive eight Alaska Lounge passes per year (two per quarter). In addition to lounge access provided by these passes, cardholders now enjoy complimentary premium cocktails, mocktails, and a curated drink menu designed to bring a luxe, craft cocktail experience to Alaska Lounges.

Summit Sunset

The star of the new menu is the Summit Sunset, a Woodford Reserve Bourbon-based cocktail that was designed in collaboration with professional mixologists. The cocktail is exclusive to Summit cardholders and their guests (non-cardholding lounge guests cannot even purchase it).

Alaska Drinks

Beyond the Summit Sunset, the elevated bar program also offers a complimentary premium experience for cardholders, with the following features:

  • Free Premium Cocktails: Cardholders simply present their physical card or digital wallet to the bartender to enjoy the benefit.
  • Complimentary Access for Companions: Guests traveling with a Summit cardholder can also enjoy drinks at no extra cost.
  • Curated Cocktail Menu: Crafted in partnership with professional mixologists, featuring seasonal cocktails made with top-shelf spirits.
  • Specialized Bartender Training: Alaska Lounge concierges have received advanced training to deliver a high-quality mixology experience.
  • Premium Mocktails: Non-alcoholic creations such as the Citrus Bloom and Spiced Mule will also be offered for those looking for beverages that do not contain booze.
  • Paid Access for Others: Non-cardholding lounge guests can order premium cocktails for $9 or premium mocktails for $7 (just not the Summit Sunset).

Alaska Bartender

Alaska Airlines has emphasized that standard lounge alcohol consumption policies remain in effect for all guests. The elevated bar program is currently confirmed to run through the end of 2026, but Alaska Airlines noted it may extend the benefit beyond that date depending on customer feedback.

Anthony’s Take: This is a unique benefit that I have not seen other co-branded credit cards offer. Alaska Airlines’ new elevated bar program gives Summit Cardholders and their guests something special while traveling and helps to make every lounge visit a special occasion.
