Alaska Airlines is bringing back an in-flight perk to elevate the travel experience for guests seated in Premium Class. The airline has launched a new Premium Class Snack Basket, which is now available on select long-haul flights across the network. It offers complimentary treats that highlight several West Coast brands.

Available on most flights over 2,100 miles, the Premium Class Snack Basket allows guests to choose up to two snacks from a curated assortment featuring both sweet and savory selections. The lineup showcases popular West Coast brands in a mix of indulgent and better-for-you options. Travelers can enjoy items such as Thinsters Chocolate Chip Cookies, Jackson’s Avocado Oil Sea Salt Potato Chips, Hippeas Groovy White Cheddar Puffs, Honey Roasted Wonderful Pistachios from Los Angeles, and Soley Organic Fruit Gummies from San Diego.

The basket is designed to rotate seasonally to ensure a fresh mix of flavors throughout the year for frequent flyers and first-time guests alike. I wish Delta and United mixed up their snack basket as the current lineup has been around for some time. Alaska Airlines says the offering reflects its broader commitment to enhancing the Premium Class experience with thoughtful touches that differentiate it from Economy Class. The new snacks rolled out this past Friday, December 19th.

Todd Traynor-Corey, Vice President of Guest Experience & Products at Alaska Airlines, said:

Our Premium Class experience is already among the best in the industry and starting today, we’re making it even better with a thoughtful, delicious touch. We designed our new snack basket with our guests in mind as another way to say thank you for choosing Alaska, and to help create a memorable experience before they even reach their destination.”

Anthony’s Take: It’s good to see Premium Class get some love and further incentivize guests to buy the more premium experience. Who doesn’t love a snack at 35,000 feet?
