With the two teams decided for Super Bowl LX, US airlines are adding to their schedules from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) for the big game.
Alaska Airlines
Alaska Airlines is adding additional flights between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and both San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and San José Mineta International Airport (SJC). Both Seattle and San Francisco are hubs for Alaska while San Jose is a focus city.
American Airlines
American Airlines used to consider Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) a focus city. That is no longer the case, but American is offering additional flights to San José Mineta International Airport (SJC).
Delta Air Lines
Delta has hubs at both Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). It is adding flights for the game to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and a flight between New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and San José Mineta International Airport (SJC). Amy Martin, Vice President of Network Planning, shared:
Moments like the big game bring people together, and Delta is proud to help our customers be there for the fun and to cheer on their teams. From additional departure options to multiple Bay Area gateways, Delta’s expanded schedule builds off our existing robust domestic network that is designed to meet increased demand and keep customers moving forward.”
I’ve written before about Delta’s 12Status promotion. This promo rewards Seahawks fans with free SkyMiles tied directly to the team’s performance. For the 2025-2026 NFL season, registered 12Status members will earn one Delta SkyMile for every passing yard the Seahawks accumulate. With the team averaging roughly 4,000 passing yards in recent seasons, members can expect to rack up lots of free miles just for cheering on the team.
United Airlines
United is also adding flights for the Super Bowl with cleverly numbered offerings. Flight 617 (represents Boston’s area code) and flies between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO), while flight 218 is the height of the lighthouse and flies between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and San José Mineta International Airport (SJC).
Anthony’s Take: If Super Bowl LX is in your plans, airlines across the country are connecting both Boston and Seattle with the Bay Area this year.
