There is not much context as to who started this argument and how it turned physical, but it looks like an Airbnb owner showed up at a property he was renting out to find a party. The video shows the owner fighting with the partygoers and it’s not pretty.

Airbnb homes can be tricky. For the most part, if you’re respectful and follow the homeowner’s rules there are no issues. But, those rules can sometimes get a little crazy.

Airbnb Notes

We rented a home last year in NJ to enjoy the beach and get together a group to celebrate 25 years of being friends. There were six of us in a four-bedroom house. We’re all in our 40s and are not looking to party. We had a nice stay, but the homeowner had a ton of rules and every part of the home was blanketed with Post-It notes and labels. These ranged from making sure to close the drawer slowly to not placing things on shelves. There were many in every room and it wasn’t until we were there that we even knew that the owner was staying on property in a small apartment to the side. She popped up early the morning of our departure and combed through the house to make sure nothing was damaged. We had no issues.

Party

Parties are never a good idea when renting someone’s home and it looks like the situation above got out of hand. It should never have gotten physical. The renters should have also respected Airbnb policies and not thrown a party in the first place.

Anthony’s Take: I prefer hotels over home rentals for all of the amenities and services they provide. I have had some good experiences (like my recent trip to Great Exuma, that review here), but overall I will always choose a hotel over a home rental.

Wacko wearing a mask still. Tells you all you need to know.

That’s rude; in most places, considerate people wear masks when they want to prevent spread of their own germs.

Only Americans would think being considerate is “wacko”.

Masks reduce transmission of viruses. Whether reducing the chances you’re laid up with the flu for a day or two is worth wearing a mask is the definition of individuall choice.

You also don’t know if he’s immunocompromised, or, shocker, just old and trying to avoid a top killer of older people (the flu).

A bunch of ghetto black kids who willfully broke a no parties rule and an old Asian man. Yeah, I wonder who started it.
