Air Tahiti Nui has announced a significant upgrade to its Premium Economy with the unveiling of Mānava Premium. This reimagined premium experience is designed to embody the spirit of the Islands of Tahiti. Launching October 1st, Mānava Premium replaces the airline’s previous Moana Premium Economy class and introduces enhanced services and a deeper connection to Tahitian culture for travelers.

Air Tahiti Nui Amenities

The word Mānava means “Welcome” in Tahitian. It perfectly captures the airline’s mission to provide warm, heartfelt hospitality. From the moment passengers step aboard the Tahitian Boeing 787-9 fleet, they are immersed in an experience designed to relax, delight, and connect them with Tahiti.

Originally introduced in 2018, Moana Premium Economy marked Air Tahiti Nui’s introduction of an intermediate travel option with greater comfort and flexibility. The cabin features 32 Zodiac Aerospace Z535 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration. These are known for spacious legroom, adjustable footrests, and a 7.8-inch seat recline.

While the seating remains the same, Air Tahiti Nui has transformed the service and amenities. Air Tahiti Nui’s enhanced premium class combines refined comfort with Tahitian hospitality. New additions include:

  • Welcome Drink: Guests are greeted with a complimentary tropical beverage upon boarding.
  • Refined Dining: A redesigned menu features fresh and island-inspired cuisine.
  • Expanded Drink Selection: An expanded beverage program, including Crémant, fine wines, and elegant glassware.
  • Improved Tableware: Meals are served with real cutlery and recyclable plates.

Air Tahiti Nui Amenity Kit

Aside from dining, other soft products are getting an upgrade. These include:

  • New Pillows: Larger, softer pillows provided at every seat.
  • Reusable Headphones: More comfortable, high-quality headphones.
  • Eco-Friendly Comfort Kit: A redesigned amenity kit that offers practical and sustainable travel essentials.

Mānava Premium passengers will also enjoy exclusive ground benefits, including access to fast-track security lanes at Papeete’s Faaʼa International Airport (PPT), Auckland Airport (AKL), Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG), and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), priority check-in lanes, and an increased baggage allowance of two checked bags (each weighing up to 50.7 pounds).

For more than 25 years, Air Tahiti Nui has consistently earning recognition for its service. The introduction of Mānava Premium represents the next step in that legacy by blending comfort, innovation, and cultural authenticity.

Anthony’s Take: I’ve been to Tahiti, but flew Hawaiian Airlines. Air Tahiti Nui is on my list of airlines to try some day as I want to go back to Bora Bora and also get to New Zealand at some point.
