Air France is opening its newest lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) tomorrow in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). The 12,000-square-foot lounge will accommodate 172 travelers including an exclusive section for First Class (La Première) passengers.
Air France’s La Première, Business, Flying Blue Elite Plus, eligible customers of KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines will have access to the lounge. It will be open daily from daily from 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM PST. The lounge’s design features Air France’s signature colors (shades of blue, white, and red). The furniture includes pieces from famous French designers such as the Ester chairs by Patrick Jouin, the Ribbon armchairs by Pierre Paulin, the coffee table by Charlotte Perriand, and lighting creations by Margaux Keller. Free Wi-Fi and outlets are available at every seat.
Food selections will be reminiscent of a French brasserie with dishes like Monkfish Provencale, Beef Bourguignon, and more being served to hungry passengers. The bar will offer a selection of French wines and Champagnes. The lounge will also source fresh, local produce and provide guests with access to water fountains and drinks dispensers to limit the consumption of single-use plastics.
A Clarins spa will also be featured within the lounge. Air France has partnered with Clarins for nearly 20 years. Passengers will have a choice of three free facial treatments, including “anti jetlag”, “instant detox,” and “illuminating eye-care.” These are all designed to relax and relieve stress.
Passengers flying in the La Première cabin will have a private area just for them. Designed in the same way as the La Première suites available on Air France’s aircraft, the space offers a particularly comfortable, chic, and made-to-measure layout. It can seat twelve guests and has its own dining area. In the Clarins area, La Première customers can also choose a “de-stress” treatment designed exclusively for them.
Flying Blue Ultimate (the airline’s highest elite level) customers also have access to an area entirely reserved for them, located close to the dining area. This exclusive space features large armchairs and privacy while waiting for their flights.
Air France flies up to 26x weekly between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Los Angeles International Airport LAX) 21 of these flights are operated with Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft equipped with La Première suites. Air France also flies 5x weekly to Papeete’s Faa’a International Airport (PPT).
Anthony’s Take: The new lounge looks beautiful and it’s great that it features some of the amenities that Air France offers elsewhere (like the Clarins spa).
