Air France will introduce a new lounge at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) that’s set to open in spring 2026 and bring a refined expression of French hospitality to one of the world’s busiest international gateways. The 8,000-square-foot space, located in Terminal 4, will welcome La Première, Business Class, and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers (along with eligible travelers flying with KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines).
Designed by Air France in collaboration with SGK Brandimage, the lounge will accommodate approximately 150 guests. The space will feature multiple dining areas highlighting French cuisine (including a buffet enriched with signature dishes and a bar offering an expertly curated selection of French wines and Champagnes). Travelers will also enjoy dedicated spa and relaxation areas, as well as quiet workspaces tailored to business needs to create a tranquil and versatile environment whether passengers are preparing for departure or connecting through London Heathrow Airport (LHR).
The new lounge reflects Air France’s strong positioning at the airport. This winter, the airline is operating up to 7x daily flights between London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to offer seamless one-stop access to destinations across Air France’s global network. The airline will further expand its presence in the London market with the launch of 2x daily Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to/from London Gatwick (LGW) service beginning March 29th.

For SkyTeam travelers, the new lounge marks a significant upgrade from current facilities. At present, Air France routes its premium passengers through the Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 4. The upcoming Air France Lounge will deliver a far more tailored and elevated experience, bringing the airline’s signature design, culinary excellence, and premium services to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) for the first time. With amenities such as a spa, Air France aims to set a new benchmark for SkyTeam comfort in London.
The project also reflects the competitive importance of London Heathrow Airport (LHR). British Airways maintains a dominant presence and by opening a dedicated lounge, Air France will strengthen its appeal to premium travelers and reinforce its brand identity in a market where customer experience plays a key role in airline choice.
