Air France has announced today that its next US destination will be Orlando International Airport (MCO). The new flights will launch from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) on May 21st and run 4x weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
The year-round service will use an Airbus A350-900 with 34 Business Class, 24 Premium Economy, and 266 Economy Class seats. Orlando International Airport (MCO) will be Air France’s 18th destination in the United States (and 25th in North America). The others include:
- Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
- Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)
- George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
- Miami International Airport (MIA)
- Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP)
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
- New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)
- Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)
- Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
- Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
- Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Orlando International Airport (MCO) already has a good number of international flights. Delta recently added seasonal flights to London Heathrow Airport (LHR), Virgin Atlantic flies this route up to 2x daily, British Airways and Norse Atlantic both offer flights to/from London Gatwick Airport (LGW), Icelandair flies to/from Keflavík International Airport (KEF), Discover Airlines flies to Frankfurt Airport (FRA), and LATAM has added seasonal flights to Santiago’s Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL).
Anthony’s Take: I find Air France to be a great airline overall and I like that they’re continuing to grow in the United States. I love that Air France is adding flights to an airport not too far from me in Tampa.
