Air Canada announced today that it’s significantly expanding its routes to Latin America and the Caribbean this winter with 13 new routes and 16% more capacity. One has to imagine this is in response to Canadians actively seeking to book away from the United States for their holidays.
Canada’s largest airline will have 55 daily flights and more than 80,000 seats weekly. This is the most comprehensive offering of any Canadian carrier flying to Latin America and the Caribbean. New routes include:
- Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) to/from Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport (MBJ) (1x weekly; runs from December 5th to April 9th)
- Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) to/from Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) (1x weekly; runs from December 5th to April 10th)
- Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to/from Cartagena’s Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG) (1x weekly; runs from December 20th to April 11th)
- Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to/from Guatemala City’s La Aurora International Airport (GUA) (2x weekly; runs from October 2nd to April 26th)
- Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to/from Santiago’s Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (3x weekly; runs from December 26th to February 28th)
- Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW) to/from Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport (MBJ) (1x weekly; runs from December 7th to April 12th)
- Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW) to/from Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) (1x weekly; runs from December 5th to April 12th)
