I’m excited for this one. Mexico City is a great place for food and culture. We visited several years ago and I have wanted to go back since then. Aeromexico just added a new route that will make it easier for me to go. Service between Mexico City’s Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juarez (MEX) and Tampa International Airport (TPA) begins on July 1st.
NEW: Aeromexico will launch flights to Tampa, Florida (TPA).
Aeromexico will begin flying from Mexico City (MEX) to TPA starting July 1 with a daily Embraer 190:

• AM2741 Depart TPA 4:35 PM Arrive MEX 6:14 PM pic.twitter.com/olBURVETPS— Ishrion Aviation (@IshrionA) February 24, 2024
The flights will run daily using an Embraer E190 aircraft. Aeromexico will fly this route with 11 Clase Premier (Business Class) and 88 Main Cabin seats.
It’s good to see another carrier adding international service to Tampa International Airport (TPA). Lynx Air announced this week that it is ceasing operations and as part of that, my winter home airport is losing its service to both Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). At least Air Canada, Porter, and WestJet still fly here.
Anthony’s Take: I’m excited to see Aeromexico add service to Tampa. I hope to take this flight to check out Mexico City again.
