Escape Lounges are located in 21 airports globally with 15 of them in the United States and six in the United Kingdom. A new location was announced today and will be opening this winter at Kansas City International Airport (MCI).
The lounge is being designed to evoke a sense of place through elements inspired by Kansas City’s moniker: the City of Fountains. Complimentary access will be offered to those with the American Express Centurion®, American Express Platinum®, American Express Business Platinum®, American Express Corporate Platinum®, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve*, and Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business Card*, as well as Priority Pass and DragonPass cardholders (and those paying cash to enter).
The lounge will be located in Concourse A near Gate A5. It will offer locally sourced food and beverages from brands like from Martin City Brewing Company, Crane Brewing Company, and The Roasterie. power outlets, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a digital library with more than 7,000 publications from 120-plus countries (courtesy of PressReader).
I’ve visited multiple Escape Lounges. My reviews of the Escape Lounge at Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) and Manchester Airport (MAN) can be found here and here.
Marsha Chesmore, Vantage Group’s General Manager at Kansas City International Airport, said:
We are pleased to partner with the Escape Lounges team to enhance the guest experience for Kansas Citians and visitors to Kansas City International Airport’s new terminal. The lounge rounds out the range of amenities, shopping, and dining options available to passengers traveling through this award-winning airport terminal.”
When this lounge opens, it will be the airport’s second. Last year, Delta opened a Sky Club® in Concourse B. Passengers not flying Delta will soon have lounge access with the Escape Lounge’s addition.
Anthony’s Take: I like the Escape Lounges and it’s nice that the network continues to grow with this 22nd US location.
