American Airlines is stepping up to help fans follow every moment of FIFA World Cup 26™. As the Official North American Airline of the tournament, it’s expanding its network, enhancing loyalty benefits, and launching exclusive experiences that bring travelers closer to the world’s biggest sporting event.
To meet the surge in demand surrounding FIFA World Cup 26™, American is increasing flights across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The Final Draw took place in Washington, DC on December 5th. Fans now know where their teams will compete and additional flights are already be available for purchase. The airline is adding frequencies and flying larger aircraft between the 16 host cities to allow supporters to follow their teams seamlessly from the group stage through the final match.
American will offer more flights between popular city pairs such as Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), along with new nonstop service between two routes: Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and both Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA).

- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to/from Miami International Airport (MIA) (June 16th to July 17th with more flights and larger aircraft)
- Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to/from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) (June 15th to June 30th with larger aircraft)
- Kansas City International Airport (MCI) to/from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) (June 15th to June 22nd with larger aircraft)
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to/from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) (June 13th to July 8th with larger aircraft)
- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to/from New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) (July 16th to July 17th with more flights and larger aircraft)

Beyond expanded flights, American is offering AAdvantage® members opportunities to redeem miles for FIFA World Cup 26™ match tickets. Members will receive early access based on status level. The redemption schedule begins December 17th for AAdvantage Executive Platinum® and ConciergeKey® members, followed on December 18th by AAdvantage Gold®, AAdvantage Platinum®, and AAdvantage Platinum Pro® members. This opens to all AAdvantage® members on December 19th.
American continues to reward sports enthusiasts with daily sweepstakes and exclusive perks available only to AAdvantage® members. Beginning December 6th, fans can click here for chances to win opening match tickets, a group stage match of choice, the opportunity to watch a US Men’s National Team group stage match, or even attend a FIFA World Cup 26™ match alongside a FIFA Legend.
In partnership with Qatar Airways, every aircraft across the American’s more than 1,550-plane fleet will feature a custom FIFA World Cup 26™ decal. These decals will be installed across the domestic fleet by the end of December to symbolize American’s commitment to connecting fans, teams, and the global game.
