American Express is unveiling a new exclusive experience for its most loyal members with the debut of 1850 by American Express®, a limited-time pop-up destination at the ARIA Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Open from November 13th through December 17th, the luxurious lounge will coincide with some of the city’s biggest events (including the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix) and offer Platinum Card® and Centurion® Members a sophisticated space to unwind and socialize.

The pop-up’s name, 1850 by American Express®, pays homage to the year the company was founded and symbolizes the brand’s enduring commitment to service, access, and premium experiences. Located within ARIA, part of MGM Resorts, the venue represents the next evolution of American Express’ hospitality offerings and builds on the success of its Centurion Lounge network worldwide.

Open seven days a week from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 1850 by American Express® will serve as a space for travelers and event-goers seeking a refined retreat amid the excitement of Las Vegas. Guests will enjoy:

  • Complimentary light bites and curated cocktails (available with drink tickets provided upon entry)
  • A live DJ lineup, adding energy and atmosphere throughout the week
  • A photobooth and exclusive giveaways (offering keepsakes from the experience)
  • Dedicated concierge services by MGM Resorts to assist with dining and entertainment reservations

Designed to combine comfort and sophistication, the pop-up lounge brings together American Express’ hallmark of personalized service and ARIA’s elevated hospitality environment.

Beyond daily access, the 1850 experience will feature ticketed special events connected to major happenings across Las Vegas, including the F1 Grand Prix, the NBA Emirates Cup, and other high-profile citywide celebrations. Details of these limited-capacity experiences will be released in phases throughout the lounge’s five-week run.

1850 by American Express Resy

Reservations and event access will be managed via Resy (American Express’ restaurant and experience platform). Cardmembers can book complimentary entry for themselves and their guests, while tickets for premium events will be available for separate purchase through the app.

Entry to 1850 by American Express is complimentary for those with consumer and Business Platinum Cards® as well as Centurion® Members. Platinum Cardmembers may bring one guest, while Centurion Members are welcome with up to three guests. Reservations can be made through Resy with limited walk-in access available on a first-come basis. Access to separately ticketed events or experiences will require additional purchase and space is expected to fill quickly as the lounge opens during one of Las Vegas’ busiest times of the year.

Even with reports of visitors dropping in Sin City, Las Vegas continues to be the number one travel destination globally for American Express Cardmembers. The opening of 1850 by American Express® reflects the company’s ongoing expansion into premium lifestyle experiences that go beyond travel.

Anthony’s Take: I’ll be in Las Vegas in December for a quick trip and am going to make an effort to check this out. I love that American Express is bringing pop-ups to more places.
