Swissport’s hospitality brand, Aspire Executive Lounges, has unveiled its newest premium lounge at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL). This is the first non-airline lounge in the airport’s domestic jetty and the first American Express co-branded lounge in Canada.
The new space was developed in partnership with American Express and provides a Montréal-inspired experience for domestic travelers. It also offers eligible American Express Cardmembers priority access and exclusive events throughout the year. Spanning 3,700 square feet, the lounge features 100 seats across the dining and bar areas, private booths, lounge seating, and dedicated workstations. The lounge was designed by Montréal-based firm Artesa and blends modern sophistication with an intimate boutique hotel ambiance. Art lovers will also appreciate pieces by Montréal-born photographer Nicolas Ruel, whose work adds a distinctive cultural touch to the lounge.
The lounge’s food and beverage program is designed to showcase Montréal’s celebrated culinary scene. Guests can enjoy:
- Specialty coffee by Café Saint-Henri and Lavazza
- Signature cocktails curated by Montréal’s Cloakroom Bar
- Local delicacies such as St-Viateur bagels and artisanal charcuterie from Édouard et Léo
- A rotating menu highlighting both local and international flavors
I really hope that the lounge has poutine. Travelers can choose between table-service or a grab-and-go option. The lounge operates daily from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Aspire Executive Lounges welcome around six million guests annually. By the end of 2025, its network is expected to expand to 100 lounges globally, encompassing flagship Aspire lounges as well as co-branded partnerships with major airlines, alliances, banks, and credit card providers.
Kim Kuzmak, Vice President of Lifestyle Benefits, Partnerships and Brand at American Express Canada, said:
At American Express, we’re dedicated to delivering exceptional and rewarding travel experiences at every touchpoint. Partnering with Aspire on the opening of this new lounge is an exciting milestone that reflects our ongoing commitment to provide Cardmembers with elevated access and a more seamless travel journey.”
Philippe Stas, ADM’s Vice President, Services, Commercial and Innovation, added:
ADM Aéroports de Montréal is delighted to welcome this new Aspire Amex lounge, which offers departing travelers from YUL a unique new experience. Thanks to our partners Aspire and American Express, this new space, with its design and food imbued with the Montréalité so dear to ADM, will enhance the level of service offered in the domestic zone at YUL and reinforce our commitment to providing passengers with a welcome worthy of the greatest international airports.”
Anthony’s Take: I love Montréal and need to get back there. This lounge is a nice addition to the airport.
