JetBlue Airways announced today that it’s adding nonstop, daily, summer-seasonal flights between Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) and New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The carrier just added Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) to its map last month with a trio of flights to Florida.
Beginning on June 12th, JetBlue will fly daily between Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) and New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) using an Airbus A320 aircraft. United Airlines is currently the only other carrier flying from the New York area (it offers flights from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) up to 2x daily), but these end on March 29th when the carrier moves this route to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).
Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) has seen a good amount of growth over the past few years. American Airlines, Avelo Airlines, Breeze Airways, Southwest, and United all offer flights from there. Spirit Airlines felt a bit too much competition and pulled out of the airport back in 2024 (Sun Country also briefly flew there from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) last year).
Dave Jehn, Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships at JetBlue, said:
With this new route, we’re making it easier than ever for travelers in New Hampshire and greater New England to get to the Big Apple and beyond. Whether it’s a quick getaway to New York City or a seamless connection for a sun-soaked trip to the Caribbean, this service provides customers with a convenient and comfortable travel experience from their home airport.”
Anthony’s Take: JetBlue is returning to its roots with a focus on New York and New England. It will soon be the only carrier serving the NYC area from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) once United shifts its flights.
