Somehow, it’s already March tomorrow. I’m home in Tampa this weekend and watching all of the chaos in the Middle East from afar. In travel news this week, we saw chaos around the world. Snowstorms on the East Coast, a Mexican cartel leader killed, and the Middle East reeling after the US and Israel attacked Iran. It has been enough to make everyone forget just how bad Hyatt’s devaluation news was after it changed up its award charts.

Airlines

I tasted a meal on Air Canada, the FAA stepped in to regulate American and United’s turf war, flights were cancelled en masse due to a storm, bullets holes were found in an American Airlines plane, and lots of new routes from EgyptAir, Qantas, TAP Air Portugal, and more.

Thompson DC 25

Hotels

I reviewed the Thompson Washington DC, by Hyatt, Hyatt made massive changes to its award charts, a couple was robbed at the Ritz-Carlton in St. Thomas, and more this week in hotel news.

Travel News & Destinations

The big news this week centered around TSA PreCheck® and Global Entry both being used as political pawns as well as violence in Mexico and American Express merging Resy and Tock.
