A mechanical issue on United Airlines with our return flight from Las Vegas International Airport (LAS) found us taking Delta Air Lines‘ flights through Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) on the way to Tampa International Airport (TPA). The second leg offered breakfast and with the flight attendant taking meal orders from the back to the front of the cabin, I ended up with the only choice left: French Toast Bread Pudding.

The French Toast Bread Pudding was served with mango compote, citrus ricotta, and toasted coconut. It was sweet, but not overly so, and pretty tasty. While it was not as sublime as the Dark Chocolate and Pistachio Bread Pudding that Delta served me last year, I was quite content with this meal.

The tray included two pieces of zucchini bread (these were not very fresh and were cold) and a yogurt parfait, which I enjoyed. Other meal choices included a Breakfast Burrito and a Three Cheese Quiche. As mentioned, those were already spoken for when my order was taken. I’m not sure why the tray had salt and pepper packets considering everything on it was sweet.

Anthony’s Take: I would order this dish again and look to try the Three Cheese Quiche soon. I’m pretty sure I consumed my calories for the week with it, but sometimes I have to make sacrifices for this blog.
