Porter Airlines is a Toronto-based airline that connects passengers to 24 cities across Canada and the US. Today, it announced that it will soon begin serving coffee Café Saint-Henri. The Montréal institution is renowned for its direct-to-source purchasing and expertise in premium coffee. This addition is one of several that Porter is undertaking to offer high-quality Canadian products to every passenger.

Café Saint-Henri is the first micro-roaster to be established in Quebec. It introduced specialty coffee to Quebecers and has been roasting and selling its coffee for more than 12 years. It purchases microlots of superior quality coffee directly from its producer partners and then roasts the beans in Montréal. It operates more than 10 locations across the province and sells its products in 200 retail and grocery stores.

Julian Low, Vice President of Corporate Development at Porter Airlines, said:

Porter’s partnership with Café Saint-Henri offers passengers an unrivaled in-flight coffee experience. This is a welcome addition to our complimentary catering menu, featuring premium Canadian partners who emulate our values.”

Sébastien Grenache, President of Café Saint-Henri, added:

It’s an honor for us to partner with Porter Airlines and introduce specialty coffee to travelers. We’re confident that our dedication to quality and authenticity will resonate with Porter passengers. From the outset of our discussion with their team, I’ve been able to see that we share the same mission: to offer the best for our customers.”

Anthony’s Take: A good cup of coffee is key to many flyers. It’s always good to see airlines upping their onboard offerings with premium brands and local suppliers.
