Bilt is coming back with another Rent Day offer and this month the focus is on bonus points for transferring to Hilton Honors. The BILT Cafe in New York is also offering free treats, there are some neighborhood dinners, and more planned for Bilt’s monthly holiday. It’s nice to see Bilt continuing with a travel-related special once again.

Each month, Bilt makes the first of the month fun. It offers bonus opportunities, chances to win points playing a trivia game, and even a contest to win free rent (up to $2,500) for what it calls “Rent Day.” Bilt’s next Rent Day occurs Saturday, March 1st. Bilt is a great program with lots of transfer partners and these Rent Day promos make it even sweeter. I am using the Bilt Mastercard® to pay rent on my place in Florida again and love it.

Hilton Bilt Transfer

This month Bilt Rewards is offering transfer bonuses to Hilton Honors as high as 200%. That means that for every 1,000 Bilt Rewards points transferred, you’ll receive 2,500 to 3,000 Hilton Honors points (depending on your Bilt Rewards status). Here is the breakdown by level:

  • Bilt Blue members: 150% transfer bonus
  • Bilt Silver members: 200% transfer bonus
  • Bilt Gold members: 200% transfer bonus
  • Bilt Platinum: 200% transfer bonus

I would not proactively transfer points even at a 3:1 ratio unless I had a specific redemption in mind. Hilton continues to increase the costs for awards (we recently saw many SLH properties shoot up without notice, for example).

Bonus Points

As always, on Rent Day you can earn bonus points. These include:

  • 1 point per $1 spent on rent
  • 2 points per $1 spent on travel (doubles to 4 points per $1)
  • 3 points per $1 spent on dining (doubles to 6 points per $1)
  • 1 point per $1 for all other spend (doubles to 2 points per $1)

Bilt NYC Cafe

Bilt Neighborhood Cafe Offers Free Treats In NYC

Capital One has had cafes for some time and I have long questioned why. Last month, Bilt opened a cafe on the ground floor of its office building at 31 Bond Street in New York City. For Rent Day this month, Bilt is offering members a free black coffee (hot or iced) and a mini cinnamon roll from Chloe. This is limited to the first 1,000 Bilt members to go to the cafe on March 1st between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Bilt members can also purchase limited-edition apparel and homeware inspired by Bond Street at the cafe and in the app. These include everything from “premium branded sweatshirts to hand-crafted ceramic coffee mugs.”

Bilt Dining San Francisco

Private Dining Experiences in San Francisco

Bilt is offering Private Dining Experiences in San Francisco in collaboration with OpenTable on Rent Day. Through this offer, Bilt members can enjoy a meal in the private dining rooms of select San Francisco restaurants. Dinners start at $75 or 5,000 Bilt points per person and bookings opened today (February 26th) at 11:50 AM for Platinum members. Restaurants include:

  • China Live
  • Hilda & Jesse
  • La Mar
  • Marianne’s

RentFree™

This month, Bilt is welcoming Brian Kelly (The Points Guy), for its game show/contest. Bilt will pay ten people’s rent (up to $2,500). The next 600 will win point prizes for the most guessed answers and the earliest replies. To enter, answer the questions in the Bilt app and submit your answer by March 1st.

Anthony’s Take: I look forward to the games and bonuses offered on Rent Day each month. Bilt makes paying bills fun and the points earned are valuable given the number of transfer partners that Bilt currently offers.
