A Delta Air Lines passenger took to Reddit to share the huge mess they found at their seat. Food smashed and smeared across the seat and floor looks like a small child was dining there. Child or not, this is not an acceptable way to leave a public space and it also calls into question how tidy Delta’s cleaning staff will make this for the next flight.

I have seen far too many parents let their young children throw food all over the floor, seats, and even smear it on the walls of an aircraft. This makes no difference if passengers are seated in Economy or First Class. Some people just do not know what is appropriate in public and let their children run amok. It’s not the crew’s job to clean up after passengers and a bit of common courtesy goes a long way. I am assuming that a child made this mess, because if the culprit was an adult that’s a much bigger issue.

Anthony’s Take: Be good to your fellow passengers and clean up after your children and yourself. This is not an errant crumb, but a disgusting mess.

Airlines have a seat-map and know who occupies the seat. They should ban or restrict the person who sat there or bought the ticket from flying for a year or so.

I once had an AA flight into DFW and the guy next to me was “chewing” and spitting into a foam drink cup. We landed and he tucked into the seat back pouch. I asked if he was taking it with him and he said “oh… they’ll get it”
Sheesh.. you couldn’t even see it, it was so far down in there.
