Bilt is back with another Rent Day today and this month the focus is on bonus points for transferring to Avios (the award currency used by Aer Lingus, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, and Qatar Airways). There are some neighborhood dinners and comedy shows, Lyft is offering a bonus for using points for rides, and more is planned for Bilt’s monthly holiday. It’s nice to see Bilt continuing with a travel-related special once again this month.
Each month, Bilt makes the first of the month fun. It offers bonus opportunities, chances to win points playing a trivia game, and even a contest to win free rent (up to $2,500) for what it calls “Rent Day.” Bilt’s next Rent Day occurs today, April 1st. Bilt is a great program with lots of transfer partners and these Rent Day promos make it even sweeter. I am using the Bilt Mastercard® to pay rent on my place in Florida again and love it.
This month Bilt Rewards is offering transfer bonuses to Avios as high as 100%. That means that for every 1,000 Bilt Rewards points transferred, you’ll receive up to 2,000 Avios points (depending on your Bilt Rewards status). Here is the breakdown by level:
- Bilt Blue members: 50% transfer bonus
- Bilt Silver members: 60% transfer bonus
- Bilt Gold members: 75% transfer bonus
- Bilt Platinum: 100% transfer bonus
Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia are Bilt transfer partners and you can take advantage of this promo with your account from one of those airlines. Transfers can be made today until 11:59 PM PST. Bilt members can transfer in increments of 1,000 Bilt Points, but Bilt Blue members must transfer at least 2,000 points.
Bonus Points
As always, on Rent Day you can earn bonus points. These include:
- 1 point per $1 spent on rent
- 2 points per $1 spent on travel (doubles to 4 points per $1)
- 3 points per $1 spent on dining (doubles to 6 points per $1)
- 1 point per $1 for all other spend (doubles to 2 points per $1)
Bonus Points With Lyft Rides
Bilt members can redeem their Bilt Points for Lyft rides. Today, members will see redemption rates lowered as there is a bonus being applied. Blue and Silver members get a 50% bonus. Gold and Platinum members get a 100% bonus. When you pay with points, you’ll see your redemption rate in the Bilt app.
Neighborhood Dining and Comedy Experiences
Bilt will offer dining experiences in Atlanta, Cambridge, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Miami, New York, and Washington DC this Rent Day. Dinners started at $75 or 5,000 Bilt points per person and bookings opened last week.
Bilt will also offer comedy shows in 11 locations across seven cities. These include Boston, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, Nashville, New York, and Washington DC. Tickets start at $75 or 5,000 Bilt Points each. Tickets were available to book last week for shows today.
RentFree™
This month, Bilt welcomed comedian Chris Distefano, for its game show/contest. Bilt will pay ten people’s rent (up to $2,500). The next 600 will win point prizes for the most guessed answers and the earliest replies. To enter, answer the questions in the Bilt app and submit your answer by April 1st.
Anthony’s Take: I look forward to the games and bonuses offered on Rent Day each month. Bilt makes paying bills fun and the points earned are valuable given the number of transfer partners that Bilt currently offers.
