I’ve written many times about Amex Offers and how much money you can save by redeeming them. Amex offers are one of my favorite things about holding multiple American Express cards. I have saved thousands of dollars on clothing, dining, hotels, airfare, and more. These can be found on any American Express card simply by navigating to the offers section on the site or app.
Some new offers popped up on The Platinum® Card from American Express when I checked earlier today. These offer savings with specific merchants in France, Italy, Spain, and the UK. There are four countries included, but I was only offered three. At first glance, these appear to offer savings just for shopping in a given country, but they do require you to shop at specific merchants. Here are the details:
Shop in France: Spend $200 or More, Get $40 Back (Up to 10 Times; $400 Total)
Get a $40 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible card to make a single purchase of $200 or more at participating merchants in France by December 31st. Valid up to 10 times, once per participating merchant (total $400). Eligible merchants include:
- Barriere Hotels: Only valid on room rate and room charges; reservations must be made online
- Golden Tulip Hotels: Only valid on room rate and room charges; reservations must be made online
- Hotel Lutetia: Only valid on room rate and room charges; reservations must be made online
- Chateau de Versailles Spectacles: Valid online only
- Le Comptoir du Caviar: Valid in-store only at 23 Bd Malesherbes location in Paris
- Ducasse Restaurant: Valid on dine-in only at participating locations
- Guerlain: Valid in-store only at 68 Champs Élysées location in Paris
- La Samaritaine: Valid in-store only at 9 R.de la Monnaie location in Paris
- Printemps Paris: Valid in-store only at 64 Haussmann location in Paris (excludes registry, tailoring, bookstore, cafes, restaurants, gourmet areas, Printemps Liste, Printemps Voyages, and Printemps gift cards)
- La Vallee Village: Valid in-store only
Shop in Italy: Spend $300 or More, Get $50 Back (Up to 6 Times; $300 Total)
Get a $50 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible card to make a single purchase of $300 or more at participating merchants in Italy by December 31st. Valid up to 6 times, once per participating merchant (total $300). Eligible merchants include:
- Offer is valid in-store only at participating merchants within Fidenza Village, Damiani, Boggi Milano, Twinset, Luisa Spagnoli, and Zegna
- The locations of the merchants are found in the link above
Shop in Spain: Spend $500 or More, Get $75 Back ($75 Total)
- Get a one-time $75 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $500 or more in-store only at participating El Corte Inglés locations in Spain by September 30th.
Shop in the UK: Spend $100 or More, Get $20 Back (Up to 8 Times; $160 Total)
Get a $20 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible card to make a single purchase of $100 or more at participating merchants in the UK by December 31st. Valid up to 8 times, once per participating merchant (total $160). Eligible merchants include:
- Bicester Village: Valid in-store only for participating brands
- Charles Tyrwhitt: Valid in-store only at participating locations
- Hawes & Curtis: Valid in-store only at participating locations
- Guerlain: Valid in-store only at the Convent Garden location in London
- May Fair Kitchen: Valid on dine-in only at the Mayfair London location

Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: I love many of the benefits of the The Platinum Card® from American Express. I particularly like that it grants me access to many lounges. It has had a prominent place in my wallet for many years now. While it does have an annual fee of $695, it provides many travel benefits and will always be my go-to for lounge access (both Delta Sky Clubs® and Centurion Lounges) and booking airfare from the airlines to earn 5x points (up to $500,000 per calendar year).
