A few weeks ago, I had to be in Dallas for a quick dinner (and out the door the next morning for an early flight). I chose to stay at the airport and booked the Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport. This was the great spot for me as I needed to hop onto a call after landing and did not want to be too far from the airport. It’s not within walking distance of the airport due to the roads. It’s not attached like the Grand Hyatt DFW (this hotel was $700 for the night I was staying, which was way too much), but it is a solid choice.
Anthony’s Take: The Hyatt Regency DFW Airport offers a clean and comfortable spot to stay for a layover or quick overnight trip. Globalist recognition was strong with a suite upgrade, vouchers for the breakfast buffet (or $20 at Jett’s Coffee Bar as well as another $20 to use there. The hotel does not have a lounge, but this more than makes up for it. Service was also friendly and efficient.
Booking
I booked a 1 King Bed Airport View room on a “Member Rate.” It was $351 including taxes and fees per night. The hotel falls under Category 3 with award rates for standard rooms ranging from 9,000 to 15,000 World of Hyatt® points.
Transportation to/from the Hotel
I took an Uber Comfort from Terminal E in Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to the hotel for around $19. It took around eight minutes for the 1.9-mile ride. The return trip the next morning cost around the same amount.
Location
The Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport is located near Terminal C at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). It’s not recommended to walk to the hotel based on the traffic and roads.
There is a limited amount of seating in the lobby.
Check-In
I arrived at the hotel around 2:30 PM and my suite was ready. The check-in agent informed me that I had been upgraded to a Junior Suite. She also explained the vouchers, asked if I needed a late checkout (I did not), and printed my keys. I was on my way to the suite moments later.
I like that the hotel provides these vouchers to guest in lieu of having an open lounge.
Water was offered and the hotel was holding a spring contest near reception.
The elevators were speedy and I never had to wait more than a few seconds for once to arrive.
There were some additional seats and departure boards by the elevators.
The elevator lobby and the hallways on my floor were clean and well maintained (even if they looked a bit dated).
Junior Suite King (902)
There are 811 rooms and suites at the hotel.
The suite opened with a table that contained a lamp, Keurig, coffee pods, bottled water, and condiments.
The bathroom was to the left. It was on the smaller side with a vanity that contained a single sink with adequate counter space, a glassed-in shower, and a toilet.
A bar of Pharmacopia brand soap was next to the sink.
A small bottle of Pharmacopia Citrus Lotion was also on the counter.
The toilet was next to the shower, but had plenty of space.
The shower worked fine and provided decent water pressure and temperature.
Bottles of Pharmacopia Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash were mounted to the shower wall.
A closet was directly across from the bathroom. It contained a robe, luggage rack, iron and ironing board, extra blanket, and a pillow.
A desk filled one wall of the bedroom area with a TV set on top of it.
A refrigerator was to the side. It was empty for guest use.
More complimentary water (for Hyatt elite members) was on the desk. If you don’t hold status, it’s $3 a bottle. An ice bucket was also found here.
The desk was perfect for me to make some video calls.
A couch sat nearby the windows.
The king-sized bed and nightstands filled the other wall.
Another chair and ottoman was on the left side of the bed.
The view overlooked some construction and the airport.
Public Areas & Amenities
The hotel has a fitness center, a restaurant, a mini market, a pool, an ATM, a FedEx store, guest laundry, a drugstore vending machine, as well as multiple conference spaces and ballrooms totaling 92,000 square feet.
These drugstore vending machines are convenient, but expensive.
There was an ATM on the lobby level.
The outdoor pool was not being used during my visit.
The fitness center was on the smaller side for a hotel this size.
It included a good assortment of equipment.
I liked that it offered Peloton Bikes.
There were some other seats near the gym and laundry.
Washers and dryers were open for guest use.
The coffee bar and restaurant were also on the lobby level.
I liked the sense of place.
The lower level had lots of conference and ballrooms as well as additional seating.
I had a package delivered and the FedEx store was convenient.
Overall Impression:
I had a good stay at the Hyatt Regency Boston. It’s a good hotel for quick business and leisure stays. The decor feels a bit dated, but the friendly service and nice elite recognition made it pleasant, overall.

2 things…
No shuttle?
And it is walkable if you know the secret route through the parking garages. 😉
After my colleague waited 25 minutes, I gave up on the thought of taking the shuttle. Maybe I should say not easily walkable? 🙂
Here is a video of VIP Suite from my stay 3 months ago.

It’s insanely easily walkable – less than 5 minutes through the exit at C19. It’s well-marked and a breeze unless you’re schlepping voluminous quantities of luggage,.
