One of the many perks of both the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is the complimentary DashPass membership (the Chase Sapphire Reserve® also includes $5 in monthly credits). This perk was introduced for cardholders a few years ago on a limited basis and it has now been extended until December 2027.

DashPass Benefits

DoorDash DashPass is a membership that costs $9.99 per month. With this pass, members receive $0 delivery fees on eligible restaurant and grocery deliveries (there is a $12 minimum restaurant order and $25 minimum for groceries), earn 5% back on eligible pickup orders, and are eligible for other members-only discounts.

DashPass Membership

I hold both of these cards, so I get free deliveries and $5 towards restaurants appears in my DashPass account each month. I’ve been getting this complimentary membership since August 2021. Starting today, DashPass members will also receive $10 monthly promo credits for eligible non-restaurant DoorDash orders (Chase Sapphire Reserve® holders receive two each month and the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card gets you one).

Other Chase cards offer a complimentary 12-month membership to DoorDash DashPass. These include:

  • Aer Lingus Visa Signature® Card
  • Aeroplan® Credit Card
  • British Airways Visa Signature® Card
  • Iberia Visa Signature® Card
  • IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card
  • Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Card
  • United Club℠ Infinite Card
  • United℠ Explorer Card
  • United Quest℠ Card
  • World of Hyatt Credit Card

These cards also offer one $10 quarterly promo credit for eligible non-restaurant DoorDash orders (while enrolled in DoorDash DashPass).

DoorDash also has a co-branded credit card with Chase. The DoorDash Rewards Mastercard® also offers a complimentary 12-month membership to DoorDash DashPass as well as 4% cash back on DoorDash and Caviar orders, 3% cash back on dining, 2% cash back on grocery store purchases, and 1% cash back on everything else. An exclusive Cardmember benefit is also offered on this card. Cardholders can get 10% off one convenience, grocery, alcohol, retail, or DashMart order every month. Maximum discount of $15 per order. This expires December 31st. The card has no annual fee. Apply here.

Anthony’s Take: I use a mix of Uber Eats and DoorDash for food delivery orders. The DashPass and monthly credits are a great additional benefit of the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card.

Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: The Chase Sapphire Reserve® is a great premium card with lots of benefits including a $300 Annual Travel Credit as reimbursement for travel purchases charged to your card each account anniversary year; 1:1 point transfer to leading airline and hotel loyalty programs including Hyatt and United; 10

Does Chase Sapphire preferred also have the five dollar monthly credit? I thought that was only on the reserve.
