Back in February, I wrote about how Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) were entering into a partnership. This strategic partnership spelled the end of the Hyatt deal and sure enough that was also announced shortly after. Hilton has been working to incorporate many of the SLH properties into its systems and it nearly 300 of them are now bookable.
Hilton Honors members will be able to earn and redeem points at SLH properties and benefits seem aligned with what Hilton offers at its own luxury properties (this was not the same for Hyatt as it offered all members a limited subset of benefits). When fully integrated there should be around 400 SLH properties available and the most expensive option will be around 150,000 Hilton Honors points. Here is what we can look forward to based on elite status:
- Member: Guaranteed member discount, complimentary standard Wi-Fi, complimentary late checkout, bottled water or hydration per stay, no resort fees on reward stays
- Silver: All of the above, plus 20% Elite Tier Bonus, and 5th standard reward night free
- Gold: All of the above, plus 80% Elite Tier Bonus, complimentary breakfast (for two guests), and space-available upgrades
- Diamond: All of the above, plus 100% Elite Tier Bonus

I’m excited to see the Grand Hotel Angiolieri, The Excelsior Hotel (review here), and several others that I have stayed at in the past included already. I’m hoping to see some others in Europe added in the future. The full list of properties that have been added can be found here.

Anthony’s Take: I was so disappointed when SLH and Hyatt parted ways. I had booked many of the SLH hotels that participated with World of Hyatt on both points and cash stays. It’s exciting to see Hilton ramp this up so quickly with some great properties added and hopefully many more to come.
