Subway operates more than 37,000 locations worldwide, but this will be the chain’s first location serving subs over 1,000 feet in the air. The latest promotion, Subway™ in the Sky, offers a free dining experience to fans in Kansas City, Miami, and Orlando.
The blimp measures 180-feet long and is made to look like a giant submarine sandwich. Passengers will be served a lunchbox with samples of the four new sandwiches in Subway’s Deli Hero collection. The blimp carries up to seven passengers on each flight and will hover around 1,000 feet. Flights will take place between 8 AM and 2 PM, with each trip lasting 30 minutes. Here is the schedule:
- Kansas City, MO: September 5th to 7th (registration opens on September 2nd)
- Orlando, FL: September 19th to 20th (registration opens on September 16th)
- Miami, FL: September 24th and 26th (registration opens on September 21st)
Register here. Tickets will be provided for free, but on a first-come-first-served basis. Hopeful riders will need to act fast once registration opens as these trips will likely go fast.
Anthony’s Take: I’ve never been on a blimp and I know this will be an awesome experience. Good luck to all of those trying to snag tickets.
