Las Vegas is one of my favorite cities in the world. Sure, it’s a bit tacky. It’s touristy, and it can be either luxurious or trashy, but that is part of its charm. I have been to Sin City over 100 times for both business and fun. I’ll continue to return for its great restaurants, shows, and limitless supply of places to gamble. The Bellagio Hotel & Casino is my favorite hotel in Las Vegas. I have stayed here more than at any other venue and I never grow tired of its grandeur. I immediately feel at home as soon as I step through the doors and see the Chihuly glass lining the lobby’s ceiling.

Anthony’s Take: The Bellagio Hotel & Casino has long been my favorite Las Vegas hotel. It houses my favorite Cirque du Soleil show (O) as well as some amazing restaurants like LAGO by Julian Serrano, Le Cirque, Spago by Wolfgang Puck, Michael Mina, and more. Many of the rooms have been recently refreshed. All of them are spacious and luxurious. My stay last weekend was as good as many of the past. I know I’ll be back many more times in the future.

Bellagio Rate

Booking

I got a great casino rate based on the Gold status I hold with MGM Rewards. This initially came from matching my Hyatt Globalist to MGM Rewards (then known as MLife years ago. I was granted Noir status at the time, which is MGM Rewards invitation-only level. I gamble enough at MGM properties to maintain Gold status and with that, you get resort fees waived among other benefits (resort fees normally run $44). The resort fee includes high-speed internet access (public spaces and in-room), unlimited local and toll-free calls, boarding pass printing, and fitness center access. With my last stay, I got a room for under $200, which is a great value. I booked a Newly Renovated Premier King. These are found in the Resort Tower located off of the casino floor. There is a second tower (known as the Spa Tower based on its proximity to the spa) that I usually request, but I wanted to check out one of these newly renovated rooms.

Crockfords to Bellagio

Transportation to/from the Hotel

We stayed the night before at Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR Hotels & Resorts (my review here) and took an Uber Premier over to the Bellagio. It took around 15 minutes and cost $28. When we left the Bellagio, we took another Uber Premier to the airport (this cost $24).

Location

The Bellagio has the perfect location in the center of the Strip. It’s flanked by Caesars Palace on one side and The Cosmopolitan on the other. Both are also great hotels. The rest of the casinos and Crystals Mall are close by when staying here.

Check-in

We arrived around 4:30 PM and our room was ready. As mentioned above, I booked a Newly Renovated Premier King. I did not ask about an upgrade as I wanted to check out this room. I had done a mobile check-in, but wanted physical keys as I have found the app can be buggy. The line was short and we had our keys within a few minutes.

Bellagio Lobby

The lobby features a giant, glistening horse as well as tons of Chihuly glass on the ceiling.

Bellagio Casino

The casino is located off of the lobby on one side with the conservatory on the other. To get to the Resort Tower, you need to walk through the casino. The Spa Tower is a walk past the conservatory and down a long hallway (it’s much quieter over there).

Bellagio Flowers

Flowers adorn a lot of the public spaces at the Bellagio. These were down the corridor near the Spa Tower.

Bellagio Hotel

The hallway where our room was located (on the 27th floor) was beautiful and recently renovated. It’s calming and elegant to walk through en route to your room.

Bellagio Room

Newly Renovated Premier King Room (27043)

There are 3,421 rooms and 512 suites at the Bellagio.

Bellagio Bathroom

The room opened with the bathroom on the right. It featured great lighting, a double vanity, a toilet, and a large, stand-up shower.

Bellagio Shower

Glass Shower (lots of space)

Bellagio Bathroom 2

Premier King Bathroom with vanity and toilet

Bellagio Toiletries

Toiletries are Lanovera brand, which the Bellagio has been using for years.

Bellagio Closet

The closet was next to the bathroom. It featured robes, an iron, and an ironing board.

Bellagio Safe

The safe was found in the wall inside the closet.

Bellagio King Bed

Like all rooms at the Bellagio, this one was spacious with a king-size bed. There are lots of outlets including USB ports next to the bed.

Bellagio Controls

Controls for the shades can be found throughout the room.

Bellagio Couch

There was a small sofa and table next to the bed.

Bellagio Table

Another small table, chair, and ottoman were in the corner of the room.

Bellagio TV

The TV and minibar was across from the bed.

Bellagio Minibar 1

The cabinet below the TV has snacks and drinks for sale (everything is sensored, so do not move them).

Bellagio Minibar 2

The refrigerator was packed with things for sale and a small space for guest use.

Bellagio Ice

An ice bucket and glasses were housed on the side. There was no coffeemaker in the room.

Public Areas & Amenities

The hotel has a fitness center, spa, multiple pools, a casino, an art gallery, a theater where Cirque du Soleil performs, shopping, a conservatory, and lots of restaurants and bars. We did not have the chance to use the spa or fitness center and it was way too cold for the pool. We’ve visited the small gallery before and love Cirque du Soleil.

Bellagio Conservatory 1

The conservatory was decked out for Chinese New Year.

Bellagio Conservatory 2

It includes tons of flowers and even live birds.

Bellagio Conservatory 3

More decorations for Chinese New Year.

Bellagio Conservatory 4

As we were leaving, a crew was tearing down the decor to set up for the next display.

Overall Impression: The Bellagio has long been my favorite Las Vegas hotel. It’s elegant and timeless. I will be back here whenever I’m in Las Vegas as it feels like home after dozens of stays.
