Hyatt’s Miraval Resorts & Spas has opened Miraval The Red Sea on Saudi Arabia’s Shura Island. This marks the wellness brand’s first property outside the United States. The adults-only retreat features 180 guestrooms, suites, and villas designed by Foster + Partners and Rockwell Group. It blends seamlessly into the island’s mangrove forests, lagoons, and desert landscapes.

Rooted in Miraval’s philosophy of mindful living, the resort offers personalized wellness itineraries, cultural experiences such as Arabic calligraphy and heritage storytelling, outdoor adventures including kayaking and paddleboarding, and guided desert stargazing. A highlight of the property is the 40,000-square-foot Life in Balance Spa, the largest dedicated spa on Shura Island, which features 39 treatment rooms and therapies inspired by local wellness traditions, including hammam rituals and desert-inspired treatments.

Dining focuses on wellbeing, with plant-forward cuisine, wellness-focused cafés, and interactive culinary experiences celebrating Saudi coffee traditions and mindful cooking. Located within The Red Sea, one of the world’s largest regenerative tourism developments, Miraval The Red Sea offers a unique blend of luxury, wellness, and cultural immersion in a destination powered entirely by renewable energy.
Anthony’s Take: It’s good to see growth in the Miraval brand. I can’t say I’m going to the Red Sea any time soon, but the resort looks beautiful.
